Direct Care Staff provide an invaluable service to many individuals with disabilities by helping them maintain their independence.
We provide three services (specific qualifications need to be met):
- Personal Support: Providers and employees must be 18 years or older, have a High School Diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience working with individuals with a developmental disability. Personal Support provides assistance and training to the recipient and active s of daily living eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and preparation of meals. Personal Support is designed to encourage community integration. The service can also include respite service to a recipient over 21. And the service is provided to support a goal included in the support plan. And the place can be in the recipient’s home or the family home.
- Life Skills 1 (considered companion): providers and employees providing companions services must meet the qualifications outlined 18 years of age High School diploma, one year of experience working directly with individuals receiving services, and any medical, psychiatric nursing, or child setting. Or working with recipients with developmental disabilities. They also can have providers and employees 30 semester hours,45 quarter hours, or 72 classrooms in college or vocational school. Life Skills One (Companion) service consists of non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities for those 21 and older. This service must be provided directly to achieve the recipient’s goals as specified in the recipient support plan. The service provides access to community-based activities that cannot be provided by natural or other unpaid support. It can be done in the respite home, family home, or if a consumer resides in—a group home.
- Respite Care: You must be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma, GED, and 1 year of experience working with developmental disabilities.
As a service is generally due to a brief plan or emergency access. The primary caregiver is available but temporarily physically unable to care for or supervise the recipient for a brief period. The service requirements: a place of service in the family home is only done for people in the family home. For people under the age of 21.

To be able to work with clients of all facets of life and not strip them of their independence but to help them increase their independence while being patient, kind, and attentive. It is essential to implement the training to keep the client safe and always to have their autonomy put first.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Any state-mandated certification
- Minimum 1+ year(s) of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors
- Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
- Must be over 21 years old

Trinity Omniscient Care offers 401k and worker’s compensation. Staff is paid $15/hr. No matter what service you provide.
The shift hours range from 8-hour to 24-hour shifts. We are usually very flexible, and you can work as many hours as you want.
